The Rome City Commission will consider a contract with the Georgia Department of Transportation related to the widening of North 2nd Avenue when they meet Monday night.
The contract deals with utility work that would have to be done before construction on the widening project could take place.
In other action, the commission will consider a resolution to close Jennings Street, formerly a portion of Davis Street, which is located between North Broad Street and Gibbons Street.
Other agenda items include the transfer of a parcel on Nixon Avenue to the Land Bank Authority, the adoption of the Floyd County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update, and a public hearing regarding the 2022 Budgets.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
