Georgia gas prices decreased by four cents compared to a week ago.
The state average is now $3.18 per gallon.
That’s also 7 cents less than last month but $1.18 more than this time last year.
According to AAA, it is not known how long the downward trend will last or if concerns of the COVID-19 Omicron variant will continue to push oil and gas prices lower for the remainder of the month.”
Local averages Monday morning were $3.12 in Floyd County, $3.10 in Bartow County, $3.05 in Gordon County, $3.15 in Polk County, and $3.16 in Chattooga County.
