A Silver Creek man is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following his arrest Wednesday on Rockmart Road.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 37-year old William James Salter slammed a woman to the ground and choked her.

He also put the victim in an “armbar,” causing her to not be able to breathe.
