Rome GA Cares Hurricane Ida Relief Drive announced

From the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office:

“Currently, we are assessing the damage caused by Hurricane Ida in the Gulf Coast. We are scouting locations within the affected area.  Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be gathering supplies and collecting donations to make a trip to assist in the recovery of those affected. We would appreciate any assistance from our community!

We are specifically needing the following items donated:
• Cases of water
• Cleaning supply/ Disinfectant
• Large tarps
• Diapers
• Children Items
• Rakes & Shovels
• Dog & Cat Food
• Gloves
• Masks
• Toiletries

North Rome Church of God has graciously allowed us to use their facility as a drop-off point for donations. We will be able to receive donations at their warehouse starting this Wednesday (September 2, 2021) and then Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. Follow the RomeGaCares signs once you get to the church! (Address: North Rome Church of God, 1929 N Broad St Rome, GA 30161)

For every $75 that is donated we are able to purchase a Disaster Relief 5-gallon bucket (bleach, disinfectant, wipes, water, trash bags, Dawn, face masks, mosquito spray, scrub pads, sponges, gloves, & tarps). If you’d like to donate any monetary amount:
• You can drop off checks to the administrative area of the Floyd County Jail (*Sorry no cash)
