Students at six Floyd County Schools will have to start wearing masks Monday after 2% of students and/or staff test positive for COVID-19.

Those schools are Armuchee High, Armuchee Middle, Cave Spring Elementary, Coosa Middle, Glenwood Primary, and Model Middle.

The mask mandate will be in effect for at least a week.

If a school goes over the 5% infection rate, that school would go to virtual learning.

Last week, four Rome City Schools (Main, East Central, West Central, and West End) all went to mask mandates after 1% of students and staff became infected.
