Qualifying for the November 2 Rome municipal general elections begins Monday.
Those who want to run for the Rome City Commission or the Rome Board of Education have until Friday to sign up with Rome City Clerk Joe Smith at (706) 236-4460.
There are three seats up for grabs on the city commission, all in Ward 2.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, a registered voter in the City of Rome, be a resident of Rome for at least one year prior to the election, and be a resident of the ward they are running in for at least 90 days prior to August 20.
Ward 2 is the area located south of Etowah River and the area south and east of the Coosa River.
The qualifying fee is $252.
All seven seats on the Rome Board of Education are on the ballot.
To run, you must also be at least 21 years of age, a registered voter in the City of Rome, and be a resident of Rome for at least one year prior to the election.
The qualifying fee is $126.
