FLOYD COUNTY
At their May 25, 2021 meeting, the Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved a “Face Coverings” policy for their employees and all county-owned facilities that would be guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, the CDC updated their guidance for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear face coverings in indoor settings when the community is at a substantial or high rate of transmission.
Floyd County is currently listed at a substantial rate of transmission, and as such, all employees and those entering our buildings are asked to wear a mask, wash hands, and watch their distance (recommended six (6) feet or more).
This updated policy is in effect immediately.
We will continue to monitor the rate of transmission for Floyd County and will update everyone as our transmission rate drops below substantial.
The CDC tracker map can be found by visiting covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home.
Please do your part by wearing a mask to help stop the substantial rate of transmission in Floyd County.
