The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office will partner with the BLESS Coalition and Crosspoint Community Church to present “Give A Kid A Chance” this Saturday.

The Give A Kid A Chance program provides book bags, school supplies, boxes of canned foods, and more to kids in need within the community. All items given away are while supplies last.

The Rome Police Department Selective Enforcement Unit will also be there, inspecting and replacing car seats, if needed.

Rome Fire will be on hand with their Fire Safety Educators to speak to families about fire safety.

Officers with Floyd County Police and the Floyd County Prison are confirmed to be on-site as well.

There will also be hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and beverages available at no cost.

Saturday’s event is from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Floyd County Jail on New Calhoun Highway.
