The City of Calhoun Government –
The City of Calhoun has officially introduced the latest segment of the Rivers to Ridge Trail System.
Due to the community’s support for the SPLOST, the city has been able to build almost two miles of additional trails at the Calhoun Recreation Center.
The newest segment adds 0.7 miles and starts behind Buford Field close to the creek bridge and follows Oothcalooga Creek and then connects to Pine Street at the corner of Yellow Jacket Drive at the City School High/Middle Campus.
This trail segment helps accomplish a goal of the trail system by building greenway trails to connect key community destinations.
According to the city, Plans are underway to add Rivers to Ridge Trail signage to various trail segments.
