Area residents joined Rome and Floyd County’s public safety community in rolling up their sleeves to help their neighbors.

The Heroes Unified blood drive, a cooperative effort between Blood Assurance and first responders, was held at the Floyd County Jail and the joint law enforcement center on Thursday……

Blood Assurance is the sole blood provider for Floyd Medical Center, Redmond Regional Medical Center, and other hospitals across the region.

The blood you donate can help save lives, from cancer to surgeries to those injured in automobile accidents.
