Inmate accused of fighting jail officers

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing charges following a scuffle that left one jail officer with a broken nose and jaw.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 25-year old Jesse Tyra Glaze of Cartersville also threatened deputies as he violently resisted them early Tuesday.

Glaze reportedly threatened to tie one of the officers up by the hands and feet and beat him.

Glaze is charged with six counts of felony obstruction of officers, two counts of terroristic threats and acts, three counts of simple battery against a law enforcement officer, and single counts of aggravated battery against a law enforcement officer, and unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution.
