34-year-old Rome man struck and killed after attempting to cross Hwy 41

Staff Reports –

According to the Georgia State Patrol Public Information Office; On April 19th, 2021, at approximately 10:35 p.m, a white Ford F-150 was traveling north on Georgia 3.  

A pedestrian, 34-year-old Rome man, Shirbert Stubbs, was attempting to cross GA 3 outside of a crosswalk area and stepped into the path of the Ford F-150. 

The Ford F-150 struck Mr. Stubbs in the right lane of GA 3 North. 

Mr. Stubbs was transported to Cartersville Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, this accident is still under investigation and these are only the preliminary investigative results.
