(Via WBHF Radio) An arrest has been made in an arson case involving a Bartow home in the process of being demolished.

A 133-year-old home at the corner of Cassville Road and Charles Street was partially torn down last Wednesday.

The next morning, fire crews were called to the spacious lot to extinguish a fire at the site believed to be intentionally set.

On March 1, 2021, investigators with the Cartersville Police Department arrested a 43-year-old Cartersville woman, Nicole Masters, for intentionally setting fire to 32 Cassville Road on February 25, 2021.

A joint investigation with the Cartersville Police Departments Criminal Investigations Division and the Cartersville Fire Department revealed Ms. Masters as the only suspect in this case.
