In wake of the tragic death of Cole Couey, a 2020 graduate of Model High School, there will be a community-wide candlelight prayer vigil Thursday evening.

It will begin at 7 p.m. on the football field at Model High.

Couey was fatally injured in a single-vehicle wreck on I-16 in Emanuel County afternoon.

He was a three-sport athlete and earned the title of Mr. Model.

Couey was in his first year of college at Georgia Southern.

Again, the candlelight vigil will start at 7 Thursday evening at the Model High School football field.
