Rome man charged with robbery, assault

A 28-year old Rome man was jailed over the weekend on charges of robbery, terroristic threats and acts, and aggravated assault.

According to the warrants, Joshua Nathaniel Danford struck a man several times with a handgun and then took the victim’s cell phone, air pods, and $80.

He also allegedly pointed the gun at the victim and threatened to kill him, his kids, and other family members.

Police say that Danford also used a cell phone to warn a wanted person that police were looking for her.

He was also charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal, giving a false name or address to law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
