Report: Woman pointed gun at vehicle with two teens inside

A reported case of road rage lands a 43-year old Rome woman behind bars Saturday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Shawnta Nicole Jackson attempted to pass another vehicle on Martha Berry Boulevard at West 10th Street and was unable to do so safely.

Jackson’s vehicle left the roadway.

She then got out of her vehicle, pointed a gun at the teenage driver of the other vehicle and a teenage passenger in that vehicle and stated “You’d better call 911 because someone is going to die.”

Jackson is charged with aggravated assault, 1st-degree cruelty to children and improper passing.
