Report: Man forced his way into residence, overturned furniture

A Rome man was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging him with criminal trespass.

According to the warrant, 21-year old Nycholas Tysean Strickland forced his way into someone else’s residence back on November 21.

One inside, he reportedly began throwing items belonging to the victim and turning over the furniture.

On Sunday, as he was being arrested, Strickland jerked away from Rome Police in an effort to flee.

He was also found with methamphetamine and a meth pipe.

Strickland was additionally charged with obstruction of officers, possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, and a couple of probation violations.
