Woman charged with battery on a police officer

A 48-year old Rome woman is facing multiple charges following her arrest at her South Broad Street residence Saturday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Barbara L. Adams was charged with aggravated stalking after she contacted a man in violation of a temporary protective order.

She harassed and threatened the victim, according to the report.

Adams then allegedly made physical contact with a police officer, resulting in a charge of simple battery on a law enforcement officer.

Adams was also charged with terroristic threats and acts, and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.
