December 15, 2020–8:20 p.m.

STAFF REPORTS

On Tuesday, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp joined Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Toomey in Savannah for some of the first COVID-19 vaccinations in Georgia.

Kemp credited the Trump administration, Operation Warp Speed, and the private sector for their tireless efforts to get this vaccine developed, approved, and shipped to Georgia.

Georgia has started vaccinating the vaccinators, frontline healthcare workers, and most vulnerable.

Kemp reminded everyone that we aren’t out of the woods yet, and Georgians need  to continue to take safety measures and follow the guidance of Georgia Department of Public Health officials.
