A Cartersville teen is facing a long list of charges after allegedly fleeing from law enforcement back on November 24.
According to Floyd County Jail records, Rome Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 18-year old Jatavious Tyshaun Posey for driving without headlights and failure to maintain a lane on Calhoun Avenue at North Avenue.
Posey sped away before running over a curb on East 1st street and fleeing on foot.
A search of the vehicle turned up two cold beers and a handgun.
Posey, who was identified by a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested Saturday.
He is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, speeding, reckless driving, hit and run, a stop sign violation, running a red light, too fast for conditions, driving without license, open container, obstruction of officers, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
