COVID-19 Cases

· As of Nov. 9, there are 374,181 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 33,152 antigen-positive cases of COVID-19.

· The number of new cases reported daily is increasing, reinforcing the need for Georgians to continue to wear masks in public, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently and thoroughly, avoid large gatherings and get a flu shot.

The Georgia Department of Public Health monitors influenza (flu) activity year-round throughout the state with the help of volunteer sentinel healthcare providers. Influenza activity is calucated based on the percentage of provider visits that are for “influenza-like illness” (fever >100° F AND cough and/or sore throat).
