Arrest made in Adairsville animal cruelty case

An arrest has been made in an animal cruelty case in Adairsville that was caught on video.

According to Adairsville Police, the video surveillance footage showed a passenger car pull up to the side of a building, off of Summer Street.

A man got out of the vehicle and appeared to be looking around to make sure his actions would not be seen.

He then opened the trunk and removed a small dog.

The man then threw the dog up in the air into the back-parking lot.

The driver then entered the vehicle and drove off.

The dog was located and was given medical aid for a small visible wound on its back-left leg.

47-year old Charles Edward Baldwin of Adairsville has since been arrested and charged with misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
