Hurricane relief donations now being accepted

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Rome Ga Cares, and the Sheriff’s Posse are continuing to accept donations for those affected by Hurricane Laura.

Donations of supplies are being accepted at the North Rome Church of God warehouse Monday thru Friday from 8 am until 5 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am until noon.

You can also take supplies to the Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church Monday thru Thursday from 830am to 5 pm.

Two more drop-off locations have been added for hurricane relief supplies.

You can now take donations to the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

On September 21, volunteers will head to Beauregard Parrish, Louisiana to deliver the supplies.

Some of the items that are needed include box fans, tarps, infant care such as diapers, food, and formula, small toys or stuffed animals for children, and cleaning supplies.

The last day for donations will be Friday, September 18th.

Water (Cases)

Trash Bags

Dawn Soap

COVID 19 Masks

Bug Spray

Scrub Pads

Sponges

Gloves

Blue Tarps

Any Cleaning Supplies

If you would rather donate money for supplies the approximate cost of one bucket is $75.

Any donation is appreciated.

In addition to donations, volunteers are needed to help accept donations and load trucks.

If you want to make a monetary donation checks/money orders can be made out to “Rome Ga Cares” and will be accepted on-site at North Rome Church of God warehouse during donation hours.

Monetary donations can also be mailed to 3 Government Plaza, Suite 110 Rome, Ga 30161.
