ROME POLICE REPORT
Rome Police responded to an armed robbery call over the weekend at the Stop and Shop at 1714 Turner McCall Boulevard.
According to the incident report, the clerk told officers that a man walked around the front counter, showed her a handgun, and demanded money.
The suspect then walked back to the front of the counter, placed the money in a plastic bag, and left the store.
The man got away with $500 to $600 in cash.
He is described as a black male, approximately 5’ 10” and was wearing a black winter coat with fur around the hood as well as a black mask.
