27 Floyd County residents have died from COVID-19, according to Sunday’s status report from the Georgia Department of Public Health. That is an increase of five from Saturday’s report.
Floyd County also reported another 17 cases over the same 24 hour period. There have now been 2,017 positive tests since the start of the pandemic.
Bartow County has now had 2,240 positives since March, up by 15 from Saturday. 66 Bartow County residents have died.
Gordon County is at 1,439 cases, up by 7 with 25 total deaths.
Polk County was at 56 total cases Sunday, up by seven from Saturday. There have been 12 deaths since March.
Chattooga County reported another death Sunday for a total of five. Chattooga County saw another positive test reported on Sunday for a total of 24.
As of Sunday, Georgia was up to 253,948 cases, up by 1,739 from Saturday.
42 more deaths were reported for a total of 5,132.
