Cartersville man accused of hiding meth at PAWS

A 35-year old Cartersville man was arrested Wednesday after authorities say he tried to hide methamphetamine in the public restroom at the Floyd County Public Animal Welfare Services building on North Avenue.

According to Floyd County Jail records, the meth was meant for pickup by an inmate on work detail.

Dale Bruce Shaw was also found in possession of more than an ounce of meth.

He is charged with possession of meth, possession with the intent to distribute, trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.
