Teens accused of entering autos, theft

A couple of teenagers were arrested late last week on multiple charges including entering an automobile, theft by taking a motor vehicle and theft by receiving stolen property.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 17-year old Jerry Alexander Parr of Aragon entered a vehicle on Neal Drive in Rome and tried to taken items on July 24.

Meanwhile, 18-year old Dustin Paul Lewis Cronan of an Alabama Highway address in Rome was charged with being a party to the crime for reportedly serving as the lookout for Parr.

Cronan is also accused of stealing a GMC Sierra from a location on Atwood Drive.

Other stolen items that police found included climbing gear valued at $1,600, an orange JOB box valued at $400, a firearm, and a car seat.
