The State of Georgia saw another 3,251 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Along with the additional cases, which bring the total to 143,123, there were an additional five deaths, bringing the statewide total to 3,173 since the pandemic began.
In Floyd County, there were 31 new cases reported over the weekend, bringing the total to 860.
No new deaths were reported.
In Gordon County and Polk County, the news was not as good, as both reported one death each.
There have now been 19 Gordon County residents who have died from COVID-19 since March, two now in Polk County.
Bartow County remains the county in our region that has seen the most cases, 1,138 since the pandemic began.
