FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

An Aragon man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Friday on a felony count of theft by receiving stolen property.

According to the arrest warrant, 18-year old Alec Heath Brogdon gave a stolen Glock .380 pistol to Devin Watts back in May of this year.

The 36-year old Watts is a convicted felon and is one of two men arrested as authorities were investigating a double homicide.

Those arrests were the result of search warrants executed on apartments and vehicles based on leads that were developed and tips received from the GBI Tip Line regarding the deaths of Vanita Richardson and Truvenia Campbell, whose bodies were discovered under the Etowah River Bridge in May.

Watts was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by receiving stolen property.

28-year old Desmond Lavonta Brown was charged with obstruction of officers, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and a probation violation.

No arrests have been made in those murders.
