GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 3,871 new COVD-19 cases across the state from Monday to Tuesday, 150 of those in Northwest Georgia.
Floyd County saw 29 new cases, bringing the total to 784 since the pandemic began.
Meanwhile, the Floyd County School System has confirmed that three student-athletes who were participating in summer conditioning programs have tested positive for COVID-19.
Gordon County reported 35 cases over the 24-hour period, bringing the total to 598 since the pandemic began.
Bartow County has now had a total of 1,058 cases including 45 from Tuesday to Wednesday. Another Bartow County resident has died from the virus, bringing that total to 45.
Polk County reported 38 positive test results from Tuesday to Wednesday.
