Report: Man held knife to woman’s neck

A 25-year old Rome man was arrested Sunday after allegedly putting a knife to a woman’s throat during a domestic altercation.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Christopher Donnelle Mims of a Brookwood Avenue address also kicked and punched the vitim.

When police tried to conduct a traffic stop on Mim’s vehicle at MLK and Spider Web Drive, he reportedly fled at a high rate of speed.

Mims struck a median and wrecked into a guidewire from a power pole.

He is charged with aggravated assault, battery, simple battery, fleeing or attempting to elude, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, and duty upon striking a fixture.
