FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 44-year old Rome man was arrested Monday after allegedly assaulting a woman with a machete at his Greenwood Avenue home.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Clyde Jess Reeves III struck the victim in the head with the large knife, causing a laceration.

Reeves was charged with aggravated assault, battery and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

Since the victim is blind, Reeves was also charged with exploitation or intimidation of a disabled adult.
