Georgia gas prices rose 11 cents last week.

Motorists are now paying an average price of $1.90 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Although gas prices are going up they are still significantly cheaper than last year.

Montrae Waiters, a spokeswoman with AAA said as crude oil prices trend higher and gasoline demand continues to grow, Americans will see pump prices push more expensive, but this summer will likely remain cheaper than last.

Local averages Monday morning were $1.86 in Floyd County, $1.90 in Gordon, Polk, Chattooga, and Bartow Counties.
