The former Holiday Inn Skytop property on Chateau Drive is set to get a makeover.

The property is actually two different parcels, one of which is being used for an extended stay hotel.

On Monday, the Rome City Commission approved a Special Use Permit filed by The Highway 411 Lodge, LLC who wants to convert the unused portion of the property into efficiency apartments.
