GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
The Georgia Department of Public Health reports the number of new COVID-19 cases increased by 873 statewide on Wednesday.
There have now been 31,610 positives test results since the pandemic began.
1,317 have died, up by 35 from Wednesday.
Floyd County is now at 155 confirmed COVID-19 cases, up from 152 Thursday.
There have now been 12 deaths, up from 11 in yesterday’s report.
Bartow County remained at 359 cases and 31 deaths for a second day.
Gordon County has had 120 confirmed cases, up by two from yesterday. Two more Gordon County residents have died, bringing the total to 15.
Polk County has reported 64 total positives and no deaths.
Chattooga County remained at 16 cases and two deaths.
