Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 2:15 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Floyd County, Polk County, Bartow County, Southern Gordon County, and Paulding County until 2:15 a.m.

At 12:54 AM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Kingston to near Antioch, moving east at 55 mph.

Hazards include 60-mile per hour wind gusts. Rome, Cartersville, Calhoun, Dallas, Cedartown, Acworth, Adairsville, Rockmart, Euharlee, Hiram, Emerson, and Aragon.

We have had a confirmed tornado in Chattooga County already this evening.

Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader told WZQZ Radio in Summerville that there are 3 homes in the Fields Walk community in Pennville that had the roofs torn from the home but there are no reports of injuries at this time.

More severe weather expected later tonight.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 7 a.m. for Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, Polk, and Chattooga Counties.

A Wind Advisory is also in effect with winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected.

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued until 3:30 a.m. for Central Floyd County, Northwestern Gordon County and Chattooga County.

Multiple power outages were reported during the storms.
