A Cartersville man is facing a murder charge following a deadly shooting at a home in the 700 block of Sugar Valley Road.

Bartow County first responders found the body of 50-year-old Eric Martin inside the residence Sunday morning.

Sunday evening, the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gary Thomas Posey.

In addition to murder, Posey is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
