FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

Police say a 43-year old Cedartown man stole $1,550 from a faith-based organization that helps homeless children.

According to the arrest warrant, James Frederick Bowden was employed by Community Chare Ministries on Rockmart Road in Rome when the alleged theft occurred in September of last year.

The warrant goes on to say that Bowden was the only person at the location at the time of the theft and he had the combination to the safe where the money was taken from.

Bowden was transferred from a jail in Texas to Floyd County on Wednesday to face the felony theft by taking charge.
