Berry Eagle Cam feed back up after storm….With a surprise

January 12, 2020–12:49 p.m.

STAFF REPORTS

The strong storm that hit the area Saturday had followers of the Berry College Eagle Cam concerned.

The camera was out for a while and that had some afraid that the gusty winds may have taken out the nest.

However, when the feed returned, not only was the nest still there, there was a new addition….An egg.

Berry College’s bald eagle couple first appeared on the main campus in the spring of 2012.

Since that time, they have continued to nest in the top of a tall pine tree situated between the main entrance and the parking lot of the Steven J. Cage Athletic and Recreation Center.
