Report: Man makes threat while holding cooking pan

A Rome man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly threatening to kill a woman.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 47-year old Sylvester Lee Anderson was holding a metal cooking pan when he made the threat.

He also allegedly took the woman’s cell phone and threw it as she was attempting to call 911 for help.

The incident occurred at Anderson’s residence on Hawk Springs Drive, according to the report.

He is charged with terroristic threats and acts and interfering with a 911 call.
