Report: Man caught eating marijuana

A man stopped for driving a vehicle with no tag lights is facing additional charges after allegedly eating marijuana to keep police from finding it.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 22-year old Thomas Andrew Strickland of a Collinwood Road address in Shannon was charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence.

The marijuana, which was still partially bagged, was retrieved from Strickland’s mouth.

The report states that Strickland did not have a driver’s license and provided a passport to the police instead.

Once at the jail, he was found with a THC oil cartridge.

Strickland was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving without a license, and crossing the guard line at the jail with drugs.
