One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday morning in front of Redmond Regional Medical Center.

According to Rome Police, an eastbound, silver Nissan was attempting to turn left onto John Maddox Drive, failed to yield and pulled into the path of a westbound, black SUV.

The impact sent the SUV into the power box and a telephone pole.

The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital.

The extent of her injuries is not known.

However, she was conscious and alert.

The wreck occurred at around 9 a.m. Thursday.
