Calhoun PD K9 receives donation for bulletproof vest

A Calhoun Police K9 will be getting a bulletproof protective vest thanks to a donation from the American Legion.

Commander Bruce Henderson of American Legion Post #47 met with Chief Tony Pyle and Captain Ken Carson Tuesday to present the check.

Chief Pyle said “To the members of the Paul Gwin Post #47 American Legion in Calhoun, Georgia:  I would like to say, “On behalf of the men and women of the Calhoun Police Department, Mayor James Palmer and the City’s K9’s, thank you very much and God Bless you all.”
