Impeachment discussion Tuesday at Berry

Berry College government professors will host a conversation on Tuesday (Nov. 19) called “Impeachment in an Era of Toxic Partisanship: A Primer.”

The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in Berry’s Evans Auditorium, will include a question and answer session. Questions may also be pre-submitted by the community. Please submit questions to https://forms.gle/WjYxBasbNjtmKXx89 .

Berry College Associate Professors of Government Michael Bailey and Eric Sands will open the night with remarks on current events and will provide historical and constitutional context to the proceedings.  Bailey has a Bachelor of Arts and a Ph.D. in political science and government from the University of Texas at Austin. He has published in Polity, Annual Review of Political Science and Journal of Church and State. Sands received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Hampden-Sydney College and a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in government from the University of Virginia. He has authored “American Public Philosophy and the Mystery of Lincolnism” and soon to be published “Political Parties: Core Documents.”
