FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 50-year old Rome man was jailed over the weekend on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault.

According to the warrant, James Edward Cox of a Salem Drive address used an unnamed deadly weapon to cause a large gash to the head of a woman back on October 21 at a location on Wet Oak Drive.

The victim required six stitches to close the wound.

Cox is also charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, and a parole violation.
