A Plainville man was arrested Saturday in the area of Old Summerville Road at Highway 27 North on multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from police.
According to Floyd County Jail records, the Georgia State Patrol attempted to stop a motorcycle for not having a visible tag.
32-year old Daniel Heath Edwards then fled in a reckless manner, disregarding several traffic laws before laying the motorcycle down and fleeing on foot.
During the foot pursuit, Edwards turned around and squared off in a fighting stance.
He was tased and taken into custody.
Edwards was under the influence and had a small bag of methamphetamine, according to the report.
The motorcycle turned out to be stolen.
Edwards is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction of officers, possession of meth, DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, running a stop sign, improper tail light, display of license plates and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
