A Lafayette man is facing multiple charges following his arrest by Rome Police Saturday.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 26-year old Jesse Alan Conway Jr. shoplifted merchandise at the East Rome Walmart on four separate occasions between December 1, 2018, and May 24, 2019.
The total value of the items taken was listed at over $2,670
Conway also stole more than $1,500 in merchandise from the West Rome Walmart on three occasions between May 24 and August 5 of this year, according to arrest warrants.
When stopped by police Saturday on Burnett Ferry Road, Conway allegedly ran and was found with methamphetamine in his right pocket.
He is charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of theft by shoplifting, obstruction of officers, possession of meth, driving without a license, criminal trespass, and failure to appear in court.
