STAFF REPORTS
Plans for the rehabilitation of the Callier Forest Apartments are moving forward.
On Monday night, the Rome City Commission approved a resolution for the issuance of multi-family housing revenue bonds by the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority.
Rome City Manager Sammy Rich said the project is a 130 unit development.
“This is a $10 million dollar project,” he added. “There is no liability or obligation for the City of Rome as a sister agency.”
Bonds for the project will be payable solely from the revenues derived from the borrower, which is LRC Callier Forest, LLC.
