A Cedar Bluff, Alabama man, and his daughter were killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Highway 114 in Chattooga County at around 5:25 p.m. Sunday evening.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, at approximately 5:25 p.m., a 2008 Honda Civic driven by 47-year old Christopher Williams was traveling south.
Williams failed to maintain his lane and the vehicle traveled off the west shoulder of the roadway.
Williams jerked the wheel causing the vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise and cross both lanes of travel before leaving the roadway off the east shoulder.
The Honda continued to rotate down the east embankment, striking a tree and fence with the right passenger pillar area.
Williams and two other occupants had to be extricated from the wreckage.
The occupant in the front passenger seat, 13-year old Adyson William was pronounced dead at the scene.
Christopher Williams was unresponsive and transported to Floyd Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A third occupant in the back seat, 10-year old Aiden Williams, was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center.
This is an on-going investigation by the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
