[WATCH] South Rome shooting suspect in custody

According to Floyd County Jail records, 32-year old Quincey Jamar Fluker was arrested late Wednesday.

POSTED EARLIER:

A local businessman is wanted on charges related to a shooting in South Rome Wednesday morning.

According to Rome Police, warrants have been issued for Quincey Fluker, charging him with aggravated assault.

Police and EMS responded to a residence at the corner of South Broad and Cherokee Street at around 11 a.m. after 911 received a call about a domestic altercation and a report of shots fired

Officers then learned that a physical altercation had occurred between Fluker and his ex-wife.

29-year old Darrius Martin saw Fluker assaulting the woman and tried to intervene.

Fluker then shot Martin twice in the abdomen.

Martin was transported to a local hospital and was taken to surgery for at least two gunshot wounds.
